The gunfights are frantic and exhilarating. And you’ll find it hard not to be won over by the sense of fun and enthusiasm that permeates throughout. Die and you have to start all over again.Įnter the Gungeon may not be very original in concept, but it’s rather slick and considered in its execution. Defeat it and you can descend to the next floor, where you’ll encounter more of the same – only this time even harder. Sooner or later you’ll stumble across the boss lair. If fortune smiles, you may even happen upon a decent weapon or item. Occasionally you’ll also be rewarded with health and ammo, as well as keys that can be used to open chests. Clearing the areas earns you bullets that can be spent at a trader that appears in every level. So you pick a character, head down into the procedurally-generated Gungeon, and blast your way through room and after room of baddies. Held within the bowels of a grim fortress known as the Gungeon, those wishing to wield its power must first do battle with the scores of Gundead that guard it. Four misfit heroes seeking personal absolution have travelled to a distant planet on a quest for the ultimate treasure: a gun that can kill the past.

Like the games it draws inspiration from, titles such as Nuclear Throne and The Binding of Isaac, it’s a top-down bullet hell dungeon crawler rendered in cutesy pixel art. Despite countless deaths, frequent self-flagellation for stupid mistakes, and having only made it to level 4 a couple of times, I somehow keep coming back for more and more.Įnter the Gungeon is one of the latest in a new breed of rogue-likes. I am curious if there are any 'fire speed' or 'infinite ammo for sustained beam weapons (plunger, unicorn horn, demon head, mutation, proton backpack, etc.) I'm going to try playing with some of the numbers in the 'Gun' section to see what they do.I don’t think I’ve ever played a game that manages to be so insanely addictive yet as frustratingly difficult as Enter the Gungeon. I have not checked the 'Rewards' section of script as I don't use it either. The Hegemony script never worked for me previously, but I didn't need it anyways. With the new update, I'm afraid to report that the 'Infinite Items' script no longer works. Fire your weapon, take damage, clear rooms, gather bullets and such to activate scripts. Someone asked me to add a percentage chance so they didn't always get a rainbow chest. Once you open this, you may now activate and change the values to your hearts content. Once you clear the next following rooms, you should have a rainbow chest appear after the room clears. You'll see in the expanded list, , and Īfter activating, you may press Numpad 5 or you /may/ need to clear a second room to populate the list. I'll go into depth about this since people had issues in the past.Ĭlear a room inside the dungeon. Now for the more confusing structure, Reward. It works though)Ĭore (Current HP, max hp, current armor, 'is vulnerable?', source of damage) Change damage, crit, reload time and it has a gun modifier which I never finished. Gun (Has everything you probably want for a gun. Infinite Items (You can hold an unlimited amount of special items, must have item to use it)Ĭonsumables (Has keys, infinite keys and bullets (currency)
